We all have heard about freelancing, it could be a freelance model, photographer, accountant, and many more. Now we heard a freelance Virtual Assistant - an assistant that is present virtually whenever or wherever needed. It does sound very cool since you are also free to work without anyone looking behind your back and giving you non stop work to do.

Freelance Virtual Assistant is somehow now become the new normal and common these days. The tasks could be simple but not limited when it comes to skills. In fact, it has more to offer if one is very keen and with an honest goal. However, becoming a freelance Virtual Assistant does not come easy either. You have to find your niche to be able to land a job or get a client considering that the competition is high.

How to Find Your Niche

Finding your niche is not easy - trust me, I am writing this blog and I myself haven't really found what is the right niche for me to start my freelancing journey. I thought that because you know some twitches here and there it will be easy to find the niche that works best for you. Some are lucky to have found theirs in no time, but to some, it takes years and experience as well. But how do we really find our niche for our freelancing journey?

I have gathered some tips on how to find the right niche. Below are the guidelines:

Understand your expertise and passion - "if you don't know what you're ridiculously good at or what projects make you giddy, you will never find your niche" - April Greer. In short, it should be something that excites us always and we love to do.

Understand your business - upon entering freelancing, you have to know and understand the kind of business you are going to start with. Whatever you are passionate about turn it into the business.

So we begin from there, in finding the right niche for our freelancing journey. I am hoping that we all will who are still be struggling to find our niches will learn from these guidelines and apply to be a successful freelancer. Once we have found our niches, we can optimize our profiles, social media accounts, and website.

Of course, one cannot just go and find their niches just like that. I highly recommend enrolling in an online course to see what best interests you. I myself is currently enrolled in Filipino Virtual Academy, they offer different courses for freelancing and is also helping everyone to find the best for them. They also help us create portfolios that will help us find our niches.

So let us all learn and excel as we start and continue on our freelancing journey!
